Tucked away in a corner of Disney California Adventure Park is the Studio Catering Co. It can be found just to the left of the Hyperion Theater and the Marvel Photo Op and features one of the best quick service meals in the park. If you are looking for something you can eat while waiting in line for a photo op with a superhero or something to right your stomach after Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout, this is the perfect stop.
For the picky eater, you can easily get the Space Outpost Tacos at the Studio Catering Co. Wrapped in a corn tortilla, these Chicken Street Tacos feature a surprisingly large portion of chicken topped with diced onion and cilantro.
Or, if you are feeling a bit more daring, you can go for The Most Dangerous Tacos In The Galaxy. Do not be fooled by the name – when they say most dangerous, they mean it. These tacos pack a kick. Described as Barbacoa Beef Tacos, these tacos are topped with a slaw of purple cabbage, green onions, and a habanero salsa in a green corn tortilla. I tend to like spicy foods, but this even made me break out in a sweat, desperate for a drink.
Speaking of drinks, I also tried The Milano, a frozen Orange Fanta Freeze with a Blue Cream and topped with whipped cream. I felt that the drink was over frozen leading to most of the Fanta melting out of the slushy before I could finish it. The blue cream added a nice berry flavor to counter the orange when I was able to get the little bit of it in the same sip. Kids will love the drink, but there are better drinks throughout the park.
For a gluten-friendly option that you can take with you, check out the tacos here. Both are fantastic with large portions for the price you pay. I will definitely be going back to try out the Obviously Nachos.
