Liberty Square Market – Healthy Snacking at Magic Kingdom
No matter how many times you visit the Magic Kingdom, you will always see something you never noticed before. You would have to visit every single day, walking one inch of the property at a time, looking at every brick, window, tile, and sign to see all there is to see. It is easy to miss things as you race to make your FastPass or restaurant reservation. Then, suddenly, one day, something jumps out and hits you in the face. That was my recent encounter with Liberty Square Market.
I mean, I always KNEW something was there – I just never gave it much thought. After all, I was always heading to the Haunted Mansion – a girl on a mission to fill that last spot. (insert laughter) Yes, I know, how could I have possibly missed Liberty Square Market? It is right there in the middle of Liberty Square – it is not like it was a small food cart.
No, Liberty Square Market is actually fairly large for an outside food area offering quick service snacks and some “meal” options. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to grab a healthy snack that you could eat while walking. If you are gluten-free, have food allergies, or follow a paleo, keto, vegetarian, or vegan diet, you will find something here to eat.
In case you were wondering where to find a Turkey Leg or Mickey Pretzel with cheese sauce, this is the place. You can even grab a quick grilled hot dog without having to wait in line at Casey’s Corner.
Snack Food Choices at Liberty Square Market
Walking into Liberty Square Market is surprising at first, as there are bins full of fresh fruit all around. There are containers full of watermelon, pineapple, and grapes.
You can find carrot sticks, apple slices, and melon spears. Baskets of bananas and apples are in plentiful supply.
Other bins hold Greek yogurt, Baby Bel cheese bags, and juice bottles.
My favorite find was the barrel full of individually packaged pickles. I cannot wait to take my daughter there on her next visit.
Of course, if you are looking for other options, you will find bags of chips, containers of trail mix, and ever gluten-free cookies and fruit snacks. Yes, whether you are into healthy options or chips, Disney has you covered.
If you were wondering just how healthy the trail mix is, here is the ingredient list:
As you can see, the snack prices are relatively reasonable for a quick and healthy snack.
So, there you have it, Liberty Square Market is one of the best places to grab a quick, healthy snack at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
